Holumiq adds a focused workspace beside a YouTube watch page: a compact brief, a timestamped transcript you can search, and chat for questions about the video.
For standard YouTube watch pages in Chrome. Holumiq needs usable captions and a signed-in account to save your analysis and answer questions.
The first connection happens on Holumiq’s hosted sign-in page. After that, open a supported video and choose when to start its analysis.
Open the official Holumiq listing and add the extension to Chrome.
Open an HTTPS YouTube watch page and select Connect Holumiq in the panel. Sign in to your Holumiq account in the window that opens, then return to the video.
When the panel says the video is ready, select Analyze video. Holumiq reads the available captions and prepares the transcript and brief. Switch among Brief, Transcript, and Chat; use transcript search or jump to a timestamp when you want to check a moment.
Read and explore while the video stays in view. The panel can be resized and collapsed, and supports light, dark, or automatic theme settings.

Search and navigate timestamped passages. Copy or download the transcript, or jump back to the corresponding video moment.
Ask follow-up questions about the video. Answers are grounded in the verified transcript; additional explanation is labeled.
Holumiq analyzes YouTube-provided captions or transcripts. A usable caption track is required; if the video has no usable captions, the analysis stops with an error. Holumiq does not download or retain playback audio, and it does not create its own transcript from audio.
Processing usually takes a little time. The extension may show the transcript while Holumiq verifies and saves it, then the brief follows. Results, chat, and usage are associated with the account you connect.
The extension targets standard HTTPS YouTube watch pages. It does not run on Shorts, embeds, mobile YouTube, or other video sites. See the Privacy Notice for what the extension reads and sends when you ask Holumiq to analyze or answer a question.
